I've tried the slave approach with my Epson PhotoPC 600. Let's just say that it's a difficult task to perfect. The slave just doesn't respond fast enough.
Maybe a more modern digicam would do better ... ... but that's the real issue. Collin ******************************************** Why not trigger an external flash(-es) with the built in one (+ an optical slave)? Of course, it won't do TTL. But with a digital camera it should be a matter of a 1-2 trial shots to get the light exactly righ, most likely, better than what film based cameras can do with all their fancy TTL modes.
