Welcome Tim - this can be a really good group, if a little intense at times! For your problem, set the data imprinting intensity, function 15, at a lower level - I have mine set to 3 at the moment, and for 400ASA film this is too high. Basically, the data imprinting led's are creating flare in the imprint, so reducing the intensity should help.
