My older B+W filters have brass bodies, my newer B+W filters have
aluminum bodies.  I prefer protective filters on the front of my lenses,
most of mine are SMC Pentax, I am gradually switching the rest to SMC
Pentax.  I have B+W 77mm & 49mm circular polarizer & KR3 warming
filters, these are coated but not multicoated..

I recently bought a slim series 43mm Heliopan multicoated KR3 filter for
the drop in holder of the 600/4.0, it took about 4 months to get from
the date that I ordered it.  This filter is brass bodied.

Both Heliopan and B+W use Schott optical glass.  The Heliopan site is
