"dead" system means exactly what? Does it fulfill your needs? If it does, (unless you 
are a professional, making money with it) does it matter whether pentax (or whoever) 
releases anything at all in the next 100 years, as long as *your* equipment can be 
serviced? is there something *particular* you need and cannot find? 

And why does everyone assume that DSLRs with mounts interchangeable  with 35mm is the 
way to go? This just another format that's it. I don't hear Nikon users whining that 
they cannot mount LF lenses on 35mm cameras. Duh!

Man, I wish Photokina put us all out of this misery (I mean, reading 100s of messages 
with speculations of what will/can/cannot/won't be announced)!
