For those interested in the advantages of square filter systems, Calumet (http://www.calumetphoto.com) sells a variety of filter holders and filters. I have been using 4x4 polyester filters on my equipment for years and have not yet managed to damage one. They are fairly inexpensive and are optically excellent. You can't put a polarizer behind them though.
