Ok folks, it's time to come clean,

I am an assistant to the CEO Asahi Optical Co., and am authorized to let you
know we have entered negotiations with Canon, Canon will under terms support
K-mounts for the next 10 years in some of their EOS cameras, as well as some
digital models. It's been a wonderful run, and we appreciate our loyal
customers, but feel this opportunity, will give users cameras we have not
been able to make final. We are giving you this information first as you
have been the most loyal customer base. As of May 31 at Midnight 2003,
Asahi Optical Co. will cease to exist. We wish you the best of luck.

Sincerely,

Brad Dobo
Assistant to the CEO, Asahi Optical Co.
