Tom, I'd rather have the A 2X-S converter for the compatibility with A lenses and above. It will also let you A lenses do spot metering on the PZ-1 series cameras. I have both, but can't comment on the quality comparison. If you scrounge for a while on ebay, the T6-2X is available (mis-labeled) for under $100, under $50 if you're really lucky. Regards, Bob S.
