Hi Kevin,
I like to keep things simple. Although I have heaps of cameras and
lenses, my standard travel kit (unless there is something special on or I
have a task in mind) is:

LX,
30 f2.8 K
50 f1.4 K
135 f2.5 K
plus film, polarisers, and B&W filters

It is handy and fits in a waist-pack

That goes with me everywhere.

If on Holiday, I add to the above

6X7 with 55 and 105 lenses or

Horseman VHR with 65, 105 and 180 lenses

plus film, a few filters and tripod.

The Horseman if I really want to get serious (there is something about a
6X7/6X9 negative taken with a camera that has most of the movements of a
view camera - without the bulk).

In general, the simple 35mm kit is not a burden and my wife does not object!
