idea that colour perception is variable and subjective, from slight
variations between what different people see, all the way to colour
blindness. I do know that settings Aino will put up with on her monitor
downstairs would drive me up the wall. I know of no method of measurement
that could help us answer this one.

Galen Rowell's book The Inner Game of Outdoor Photography has several
articles on what he has learned from trying to research the same topic.
more important is that one of the articles has an extensive annotated
bibliography of references on the subject.
