Isn't this the same guy who told Tony Blake that "the trouble with the French is they don't have a concept in their language for "Entrepreneur"? The main things Bush has going for him a) he doesn't intimidate the majority of the voters, and he has some very competent people around him that are able to function quite effectively, and he's quite happy to let them do that as long as he gets to take credit when things go right.

Btw, I've never met anyone who said, "I voted for the candidate I thought was most likely to screw things up locally because it was my way of supporting the President and sending a message to the rest of the country". People may be more selfless where you live.
