Kathy, I went down this road about a year ago. I looked into Genuine Fractals and by doing quite a bit of reading, I found that it is not as great as you would hope. It will help some, but in the end, the basic problem is that the negative/slide is small. That prompted me to ask on the list about medium format and how much improvement I would see. I went back and forth for some time. I finally took the plunge and have never been happier. The quality and size that I was seeking was there as was the enjoyment. Pentax accommodates the slower, deliberate style with the 67 cameras and the more automated (AF, autoexposure, winder) style in the 645 cameras.
You should seriously take a look - ask all those who actually have gone to the bigger negatives to see what they think.
