One thing I've found about Genuine Fractals is that it isn't that great for
35mm scans. It works best with direct digital capture images and medium
format scans from fairly low resolution (like my 1125 dpi Minolta Scan Multi
- there's another thread going on about that).

I speculate that the reason for this involves grain ailising problems. With
digital capture there is no grain at all and with an 1125 dpi film scan,
each pixel covers so many grains that it behaves more like a digitally
captured pixel; there's virtually no grain aliasing.

IOW: I pretty much agree with Bruce about GF being of limited use for 35mm.
