Is a one stop difference gross enough to see reliably in the viewfinder (all normal YMMV disclaimers apply)? Like f/1.4 versus f/2 or f/5.6 versys f/8? I don't use the DOF preview that often, because most of my shooting involves other higher priority criteria (like using a specific shutter speed).
