I find things I've forgotten about for years quite often in the basement. I look at it and go, "Hey this is neat!", and then it works its way down to the bottom of a pile again.. Power zooms, zoom clipping and things like Minolta's special function cards have long since been done away with in corporate "yard sales". These days features like that are viewed as fluff and detract from the "seriousness" of the camera. Lots of "good ideas" never got off the ground, like flying cars.
