Yes, that's interesting. I can think of time it may be nice, but overall, not a heck of a lot, it's just that in these 35mm photog handbooks I have they have them as part of 'essential kits'. Of course, they are maybe dated as they think you should have a say 35mm, a 50mm, and a classic 'telephoto' of 135mm. Perhaps ND filters were more popular then because of the film speeds, shutter speeds or something? The book is new however, with all the latest in AW gear, and tech. Maybe the authors were drunk at the time? ;-) Brad
