Now *there's* an interesting concept that might find an application in a
digital camera: Instead of choosing your aperture and having the camera set
the shutter speed or choosing your shutter speed and having the camera set
the aperture, you would set both the shutter speed AND the aperture...and
the camera would vary the "film" speed to get the correct exposure. Goodbye
ND filters.
