Michael Reichmann is certainly adamant that someone is going to unveil a
camera using the full frame 35mm 10 Megapixel Foeveon at PMA.

There is some speculation as to whether this is due to confusion over
the fact that the Sigma chip is called 10M, but someone emailed Michael
and he said "he was sure it was 10MP and not 10 million photosites. His
answer was yes, it's a full frame (35mm) 10MP Foveon chip. Now the big
question is which manufacturer."

Michael has hinted that he has an inkling who it is, but wont talk.

My guesses would be:

Canon - Nope they are happy as they are for now.
Kodak - ditto
Fuji - Seem committed to CCD
Nikon - possible, we are waiting for their full frame but I reckon they
are already committed to their current chip supplier for this
Olympus - nope, they have changed format.
Minolta - nope, they have said they aint going there yet... And I
believe them
Pentax - Possible, but surely they would get the APS model out first?
Would be nice to think it was them and they do have the body waiting for
it. I can see why it would appeal to Pentax as a way into the market.
Sigma - Possible, we know they have been looking for Foveon full frame
for a while.

So Pentax or Sigma would seem most likely. I would normally guess
Sigma, except Michael seemed to hint that it would be someone different.
I can see why foveon would be keen to get another camera maker signed up
too, and what a thing to tempt them with! But then wouldn't Sigma be
p****d off with them for not supplying them first?

Lets wait and see...

Looks like the Photokina-esque speculation will be even bigger for PMA!!
