It would only give Canon and Nikon competition in a paper, spec sheet war. If it doesn't come with a Canon or Nikon mount, it's a don't care for the vast majority of people who are buying these things. I saw very little interest in the Sigma SD9 at Photo Pro where they had a number of cameras available.
