Third Party Lens focus and a general mount question

I've 3 third party primes.  All 3 focus "the wrong way".
And I'm wondering about that a bit.

AFAIK, Nikon and Pentax both focus to infinity the same
way, and I think the aperature ring works the same, too.
Do Minolta, Canon, and Olympus all do aperature and focus
ass-backwards compared to Nikon and Pentax?
