A little secret is that PowerDNS does not really figure out which domain a
record belongs to if it can find a direct answer from the database - which
means that will have a hard time creating per-domain statistics.
When selecting the record, would it be hard to fetch the domain_id as well ?
(this only applies to SQL backend I guess)
If not, you cou could build stats based on domain_id and later convert it to
domainname.
