# I mean if most of the people showing up on any given meeting are # there for new user type help they will overwhelm the few more # experienced users with questions. So the next meeting will have # even fewer experienced users showing up, and the new users won't # have anyone to help them so they will leave. Then no one is left.
I don't buy this chain of unlikely events, but it sounds like perhaps you've seen it in action. It depends on what constitutes "most" and "a few". A ratio of experienced to inexperienced of perhaps 1:3 or 1:4 isn't unreasonable, and given meeting attendance trends it's also not improbable. -- Jonathan Daugherty http://www.parsed.org _______________________________________________ PDXLUG (a Portland Linux user group) mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlug.org/mailman/listinfo/pdxlug IRC: irc.freenode.net #pdxlug & #orlug
