Does anyone have information/resources on getting Suse tied into a

I had terrible luck with this card in windows, though there are supposedly Linux drivers out there (well, a compatiblity layer to load drivers for it). Check http://sourceforge.net/projects/ndiswrapper/

Also, are there any GUI remote desktop utilities for Linux?

Check out VNC. http://www.realvnc.com/download.html

You can also run X with lbxproxy which works very well.
