Ok, here's a wishlist for the Overloaded Distribution
of my nightmares... :)

Disk 1: Base system
(Selfd Explanatory)
Disk 2: Kernels and modules
This'd have such stuff as MOSIX, Beowulf's bproc,
RTAI, etc, together with every option and every 3rd
party driver compiled as a module. Compiled for the
various architectures. Oh, and also including FreeVMS.
Disk 3: Console games
Not just the old BSD games, but everything you can
runon a text console. All the Rogue/Hack style games.
Conquer. Various adventure games, such as dungeon.
That kind of thing.
Disk 4: Same, but games written for X. Things like
XTank and Netrek, for example. There are plenty of
others, including XConq, Freeciv, LinCity, etc.
Disk 5: Flight Gear, plus the complete world map.
Though this may end up taking two disks. It's big!
Disk 6: Databases, Office Suites, Productivity Tools,
et al
Disk 7: Gnome + All things Gnomish
Disk 8: KDE, plus all things KDEish
Disk 9: Ximian, plus all things Ximianish
Disk 10: X11 + all window managers not otherwise
included + X11 libraries/toolkits
Disk 11: Compilers and Interpreters. Every last one
for which the source is available.
Disk 12: CPAN. The entirity of it.
Disk 13: CPyAN.
Disk 14: CTAN.
Disk 14: Speech synthesizers plus voice data
Disk 15: Fonts plus font managers
Disk 16: Network clients and servers
Disk 17: Administration tools

The list goes on... I've mapped out the first 33 disks
I'd like to build, but that gives a good summary of
the sorts of things I'd like to see in a distro. A
truly comprehensive distro.

The ideal tool would be to make sure your distro is easy to update when new patches/security updates are needed. By the time your 33 disc distro is downloaded, many of those programs will have been updated.

Most of the stuff you're mentioning is easily available to get via debian, fedora, etc through things like apt already. So, why all the cds?
