A guy at work bought a walmart special and is having a
problem connecting to comcast. Comcast did the
install on a windows me box, and that works fine.
Switching the cable from the me box to the linspire
box causes the nic card to respond, but he can't get
it to connect.

He's following the instructions at
http://help.linspire.com/cgi-bin/linspire.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=234&p_created=1036192507&p_sid=n1EqHIuh&p_lva=&p_sp=cF9zcmNoPTEmcF9zb3J0X2J5PSZwX2dyaWRzb3J0PSZwX3Jvd19jbnQ9MyZwX3Byb2RfbHZsMT0mcF9wcm9kX2x2bDI9JnBfY2F0X2x2bDE9JnBfY2F0X2x2bDI9JnBfcGFnZT0xJnBfc2VhcmNoX3RleHQ9Y2FibGUgZGhjcA**&p_li=

When he tries the release/renew steps, the buttons
"didn't respond". I'm not exactly sure what he means
by that, but if someone has hooked up linspire to
comcast, or has any ideas what might be wrong, let me
know.

Thanks
