This is just Marc Andreessen putting a positive spin on PHP because his ning.com is based on it. PHP is lowest-common denominator, and easier to deploy than almost anything else, so it makes sense for them to use, and I guess taking pot-shots at Java is only getting hipper. But the day I got my Ning developer account was also the day I got my Rails hosting set-up. Can you guess where I've been spending my time?
