I wanted to try and play with XP tonight with MySQL to show it to
someone who had mysql installed already.

This fails:
>> gem install mysql

...because it can't find the mysql libs. How do I get Ruby/Rails to
mysql in XP? I've found similar errors online... but no solutions to
this problem.

> checking for main() in -lm... yes
> checking for mysql_query() in -lmysqlclient... no
> checking for main() in -lz... yes
> checking for mysql_query() in -lmysqlclient... no
> checking for main() in -lsocket... no
> checking for mysql_query() in -lmysqlclient... no
> checking for main() in -lnsl... no
> checking for mysql_query() in -lmysqlclient... no

I might just have to install PostgreSQL for him, but was hoping to show
him how to connect to an existing db of his.

Any pointers?
