I've been thinking about single sign on solutions for a group of rails applications. Can't say I'm an expert but would be willing to present various approaches in hopes to begin a discussion.
I'd be interested in this. I've been dealing with RADIUS for a local community wifi network, so I've been thinking about authentication a bunch. (Based on a good but moribund project called RADIUSlib, I've implemented a simple Rails app with a RADIUS front-end, much like a web service API.)
I volunteered to give a talk on TDD to the XP group in the next few months. I offered to show the Rails approach and someone else there mentioned wanting to see a presentation on Watir. Perhaps we could brainstorm how best to present TDD Ruby development.
At RubyConf, I talked to Steven Baker, who's the implementor of rspec <http://rspec.rubyforge.org/>, a new test framework for Ruby that's behavior-driven instead of test-driven. He lives in Vancouver, BC, and expressed an interested in coming down and presenting rspec to pdx.rb. I've been meaning to get back in touch with him and set up a date. But maybe we could have a later meeting that's all about testing?
