What sort of "sharing features" are you referring to? From what I
recall, .Mac doesn't really give you much more for calendaring than a
centrally-managed WebDAV server. Do you just need a way to share
editing duties on a calendar, or did you have something else in mind?

Last I checked, the Ruby/iCal library (icalendar.rubyforge.org) had
serious issues, and wasn't really useful for much more than
surface-level scraping of iCal data. Vpim (vpim.rubyforge.org) had
better iCalendar parsing and generation support, but was a bit lacking
in "Ruby-ness" -- i.e., the objects and their APIs very closely
mirrored the underlying iCalendar structures and naming.
