As I mentioned recently, we're now part of the O'Reilly User Group program. We are also now part of the Manning program. Both of these programs will provide free copies of their books in exchange for us writing book reviews and posting them where they are publicly available (either on the
PDX.rb site, on your blog or even on Amazon or wherever). There are a few guidelines about these reviews which I will get around to sending out Real Soon Now (tm). However, what I need to figure out is the best way to manage this program. That is, figuring out who is going to do the reviews, making sure the reviews actually get written (we don't want to lose our privileges after all), figuring out which books to request, etc.
First, though, I'd like to just take a poll of who might be interested in reviewing books. Please respond to this message so that I can get some idea of the numbers.
