Sounds like a great idea to me. Cardinal is currently in a moribund state and has been for quite some time, but I would certainly be interested in finding out about the current state of Parrot.

What are the plans for the next meeting? There's no event on the cat- herder as yet. I'm out of town, and won't be back until the 10th, so I'm probably not the best to put forth plans... However, Allison Randal emailed me volunteering a short talk about Parrot, the virtual machine that's being developed for Perl6. There's a project called Cardinal, originally started by our own Phil Thomson, to get Ruby running on top of Parrot. Might folks who will be able to attend the meeting be interested? --John Begin forwarded message: > From: Allison Randal <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Date: June 30, 2006 11:34:08 AM EDT > To: John Labovitz <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Subject: Cardinal > > I could do a quick 10 minute presentation on Parrot at the next > Ruby meeting if you have space.
