Hi all! First off, I should mention that we're not looking to hire *right now*, but it could happen at any time. What we're trying to do right now is to find some people who are available and interested, so when the time comes we can make it happen quickly.
I work for a small design and advertising agency called EDGE Design (http://edgedesign.us). We're based in Corvallis but have an office in Portland as well. I'm one of two programmers. We do mostly Rails, but we have some clients for whom we do PHP or perl. Since we're not looking to fill a specific gap, I feel comfortable giving you my wishlist: * HTML / CSS expert * Javascript * PHP * Rails In my version of the perfect world, I would want someone who concentrated on the frontend (html/css/javascript) but understood programming, to make it easier to incorporate the front-end work into the backend, and also to take care of ongoing maintenance on our existing sites. That represents a good complement to the skills our team already has. The actual role will be more fluid, of course, but those are the things we need at this particular moment. What we want to do is just sit down quickly and have a conversation. Like I said before, we're not looking to hire right now, but the nature of our business is that we could need to at any moment.
