Giacomo, * The tapping task in PEBL 2.0 should save as a .csv file based on the subject code. If you use subect 100, there should be a 100\ folder in data\ and in there will be tapping-100.csv.
I have used this task every year in a research methods class, so I'm not completely sure what you mean by pressing repeatedly or just once. The way the task works, I know that the version for 0.14 won't work correctly with 2.0 PEBL, so that might explain the problem. Some background for the task: - the goal is to get a stable measurement of tapping speed. Participants should be instructed to tap with the heel of their hand pressed on the table. In this mode, I have found that I consistently get values around 60 taps/period, +/- 2. My experience is that undergraduate students will typically be a bit faster than that, but sometimes slower. With enough motivation and experimentation, they can sometimes get values 100+, but not if they keep the heel of their hand pinned on the desk. The task will continue for 4 or more rounds, until they have produced consistent responses, with some maximum number of rounds--maybe 8 at most. You can select dominant/non-dominant hand tapping options using parameters, if you only care about one hand. I hope this helps!
