Hello,
I am a grad student from Turkey. I am planning to work with PEBL for my
master thesis. I wanted to consult you about my study and ask about how can
I contribute to PEBL.
My thesis is about the cognitive functioning of refugee children (age 8-12)
in Turkey. As you may know working with refugee population is problematic
due to the language barrier. I choose Corsi because it is a non-verbal
task. And I think it is a good idea to cancel the written instructions
(most of the children may be illiterate in both arabic and turkish) but to
give instructions verbally in turkish. I will only work with children who
can understand the verbal instructions in turkish.
Is it possible to totally remove instructions and to present blank pages
while the researcher reads the instructions in turkish?
If it doesn't exist and you think it is useful,I can also add the those
verbal instruction to the task and prepare a Turkish version with written
instructions later.
I would like recieve your advices on working with PEBL for my thesis and I
appreciate your help about how to make changes on a prepared task.
