It would be really great if, as well as making this package official, the
memcached package could be marked officially deprecated, both on PECL and
in the php.net manual pages.

This would remove the years-long confusion over which extension people
should be using, and give us one extension which is:

* Actively maintained
* At least theoretically cross-platform
* Self-contained

Unless I'm misremembering previous discussions, I can't see any advantages
to keeping the other package alive at this point.
