My name is Birgir Haraldsson and I would like become a maintainer of the
solr extension.
The current maintainer is not answering emails or GitHub issues.
See https://github.com/php/pecl-search_engine-solr/issues/36 .
Currently, the extension is outputting messages about deprecations in
PHP 8.1, but that has been fixed in `master`, so we just need a new release.
We also have a PR for 8.2 support that would be good to get into a
release, along with a type fix.
I rely on this extension in my work, and I am more than willing to help
maintain it.
