Camtastic from 99SE is what I'm using. Also the files are 274X. I'll
check the origin reference and read the link you sent. Hope I can figure
this out.  Thanks!

Which version of Camtastic - the one that came with 99SE or the one that
is integrated into DXP2004?  With the older version of Camtastic, I
think I remember that the software expected the kind of files generated
by Protel.  Although the article applies to importing  Gerbers into  the
PCB editor, I believe the information  in the following applied also to
the older version of Camtastic:

In general, Protel software doesn't like to import files with negative
coordinates.  If your Gerbtool files have a center reference, there are
negative coordinates in the generated files.  You should relocate the
reference point such that all data has positive (x,y) coordinates.

What kind of Gerber file - RS274 or RS274X?  If they are RS274 format,
remember you will also have to load the apertures before loading the
Gerber files.
