That's what I've been implying.
I don't see Protel being able to produce a fully functional Verilog compiler / Simulator / Fitter, which actually will fit good to the chosen PLD with the latest fitters creating the best results. I prefer the IC manufacturers package, in my case usually Altera, to do the work. The only thing I think Altium should be concerned with here is the ability to import/export pin-out & smart pin swapping between the Sch/PCB package & the PLD tools, whether it be Altera, Xilinx, Atmen, ect...

For those of us who work on the coal-face with Protel, the bells & whistles not directly associated with getting good copper into/onto a glass-fibre substrate are mostly fluff - no matter what the sales-pitch promises to deliver.
