Trent,

If your hard drive isn't dying, or if you haven't self-infected your
computer(2053?), then check your file associations. Classic problem with
Protel is it's stupid inability to digest files that aren't specifically
associated with it. Just another of Protel's idiot-savant character.
Imagine, for instance, that because you install Winamp, Windows media
player can no longer open media files. Or visa versa. 

Open Explorer->tools->folder options->file types...

Or find a Protel <insert name>.ins file using explorer, then
File->Properties->General, press change button next to "opens with"...

Good luck, and let us know what it turned out to be.
