Another weird one with P99SE-sp6:
While trying to open an existing PCB design I got this utterly non-informative error message: 'Format %x invalid or not compatible with argument'. Yesterday all was fine......
The database opens fine, as does the schematic, but the PCB won't open. There _is_ a new tab opened in the main window, then the error message appears. After dismissing the error all toolbars appear but the screen remains empty; transparent even (the desktop shows through after minimising and maximising Protel).
Closing the PCB window triggers two other access violation errors, closing Protel triggers more than twenty access violations before things return to normal.
Right now I can not open any PCB files....
So far I tried to locate the affected file(s) by searching on date modified, but could not find anything.
Even after replacing all *99*.* files in the Winnt directory by versions from a fresh install the problem persists....
Anybody actually knows what this error means and how to prevent it from happening? Solve it perhaps?
I _know_ it goes away after a complete re-install (it happened before), but that leaves me without any customisations (I have quite a few) so I would prefer another approach..
As always, any thoughts are greatly appreceated.
