I can tell you that "Parts & Vendors" doesn't do any magical pricing,
BOM or internet automation tricks. It is a relatively simple inventory/MRP
program that I have used at a previous employer.

I think there are professional systems out there that do exactly this (and
a bit more) -- I saw one once, but can't find it now. IIRC the name started
with "Parts&...".
