never had that 99SE, correct ?
Yup.
... ... ... ... .. oh, i think i remember you use the 'windows file system'
Correct! You do have a fine memory. Do you want to play on for the $1000 question? ;) ....
Well, at least the windows file system lets me see what happened afterwards: directories created fine, as did the status report. Even the PnP got generated. Beyond that, only two empty Gerbers and an empty DRL file...
maybe you should try the DDB again, works for us, sounds like you're not saving any trouble with 'windows file system'
Nh... I still think the risk is too high. Once bitten.....
Never found out what caused that instability though. It has been bugging me on and off ever since. Three pieces of hardware and a total of six re-installs (including reloading a ghost image) later it still occasionally crashes for no apparent reason....
Loaded the same Ddb into my PC at work (the crash occurred at home, a first) and all worked as it should, so production could get started. Heck, even stretched the deadline two days.....
The problem must be in the installation at home, I will do a clean re-install tomorrow and watch what happens. Keep you guys updated, even.
Thanks for your input none the less.
