Yes. No wonder there was overflow. I think the basic internal database unit is the microinch, and I would guess that it is a binary representation. Actually, overflow was a better result than a simple error. One could probably deduce the register size from the results, it was much higher than the workspace dimensions, much higher than the programmers ever anticipated anyone ever needing to use. And now that we know the cause, the workaround is easy, I wouldn't even ask Altium to fix it, not worth the effort for such a rare event. (I don't remember if this was DXP, but I'd guess that if this problem was present in 99SE, it's still there.)


(However, a filter for the commmand output that looked for a negative number for length and then reported not only the length but also an overflow message and a suggestion to break the track into segments would be simple and not at all likely to introduce complications.)
