Look at it this way, at least they aren't trying to make you swap the 
dollar (pound in my case) for the euro! But I digress...i'm not a fan of 
Europe that's just my personal stance. The "P" word creeping in again but 
not "Protel".

Devices INCLUDED are:

8. Medical devices (with the exception of all implanted and infected 
products)
Radiotherapy equipment
Cardiology
Dialysis
Pulmonary ventilators
Nuclear medicine
Laboratory equipment for in-vitro diagnosis
Analysers
Freezers
Fertilization tests
Other appliances for detecting, preventing, monitoring, treating, 
alleviating illness, injury or disability

So depending on what your products are you may or may not fall under 
compliance. I suggest you find out sooner rather than later if you 
definitely need to comply or not.
