Peter,
I don't know if someone else may have already answered your question
but I highly suspect that it has to do with some of Protel's problematic ini
file behaviour. Like the Client99SE.INI file that continues to store last
opened files until it hits some sort of overall file length limit and starts
causing problems as it drops items from the ini file . Near the end of that
file, after the file history, is where the Servers are loaded from. Right after
that is where the license key information is stored, so guess why your program
also has to search the network for valid licenses sometimes.

Subject: [PEDA] Protel Forgetting Server ins settings.
Hi,
Why does Protel 99SE sometimes misplace its server ins files?
Peter
