Gerhard,
Yes I too know that it can be done through tricks and living with some
non-ideal issues. At the original poster's end I don't know what they have in
their schematics, nor how they have planned to connect these boards together in
the physical world. It wasn't worth a lot of time to go through great
explanations only to find that it didn't suit either their desires or how they
had already done the schematics.

My background thoughts were also, look at what software version they
are using. Secondly, it is probably cracked/pirated and I am not the
pirated/cracked software tech support.

You can trick it into this... :)

What I've done on occasion is to create multiple PCBs for one schematic by
using a signal layer that's not part of the boards for the connections
between the individual boards.

Say you have a PCB solder connector that you use to solder two PCBs
together, and the schematics for both boards are one single design. I then
use a signal layer that is not in the boards to connect the pads of the two
footprints of the PCB connector on both PCBs to satisfy the netlist.

This way you are flexible WRT which components to put on what board,
without having to change the schematics for that.

Gerhard
