Subject: RE: [PEDA] 6.0 ?
Hi Dennis,
This is how I looked at the price. It has quite
a few features I like. But also I haven't spent
money with Altium since July 2002, so if I get
about 3.5 years for this investment and still
get new features added for the next few years
the price is very good.
As a blanket question it's a bit hard to answer
as more features are sure to come later.
These would be some features that I like:
Differential pair support
Heads up display
View form the bottom of the board
Footprint manager
Smart paste
Drag track and keep angle
Database driven libraries
These feature are nice to have
Shortcuts panel
In place editing
Reports on schematic sheets
True type fonts in pcb (plus extended char set)
Board insight
Parametric Hierarchical design
Expect there are many more that I can't remember also.
I have upgraded to take the offer that ended today,
but would hope Altium extend it for at least another month.
Regards,
Darren Moore
