some fabs make a distinction between 'tenting' and 'covering' where tenting is to be gas tight whereas 'covering' may not completely plug the hole
generally tenting will 'tent' for smaller vias i once had to change my fab print to say 'cover' instead of 'tent' before one shop would proceed i think the 'large' hole in question was maybe 24-28 mils sometimes i just make a negative expansion so the SM doesn't quite reach the hole depending on the area and the dimensions, this can be handy for probing and kluging as well ds _______________________________________________________________________ Integrated Controls, Inc.
