Using W2K, with ample memory and disk space, Protel often hangs during close if automatic compaction is turned on. I've also noticed that it will hang when manually compacting, if I move the mouse off Protel or try to switch to any other app while waiting. Is this something unique to my machine, or have others seen this and found a workaround?
