Hi Hamid & all, I was trying to resist replying to these messages but I'm in a mood to say a few things right now. I was hoping the forum administrator would politely end this discussion but we've had more than 50 emails now and it's still going on. So...
It's more than obvious that you want to express yourself and tell your opinion about Altium. No harm. You are free to do that. It's obvious that you don't want to use any other program but Protel99 and you don't want to upgrade. That's your choice and you can't blame Altium, because you want it this way. It's you who don't want to subscribe to the official forum. (Some times even listening helps to solve problems and it's WEB based, you don't need to read emails.) It's obvious that you don't want to listen to any other opinion about Altium product these days and are not interested in their tech support because you don't use any. Your opinion here is a history as Protel99SE is. Altium's customer support is great now and they reply to anyone even for problems with Protel99. You don't need to admit that, you have to accept it because it's a fact. I'm surprised that you don't have time to read the ports in Altium's forum where you can learn lots of things but you have plenty of time to read and write the posts here. Altium products have some problems but can you offer anything better - software which has no bugs and will make anyone happy? We all are board designers. Can you tell that your boards are better than any other? If your customer finds out that your board doesn't perform well, he'd ask you to change it or will go to someone else, right? That's almost the same thing. Altium offers us their product. People who like it, use it and want to have some things changed. People who don't like it, use other CAD programs. There is no need to argue about that and IMO it's time to really end this topic because it looks like The III world war is about to start. Regards, Mira --- "Hamid A.
