I don't know of one. I am thinking back a number of years to a former
employer where we used DDB storage, here we use the Windows file system and a
custom interface to Protel, therefore we wouldn't have the issue here. It would
be too much of an inconvenience for me to remove the custom interface just to
test the premise on my system.

it might be something I didn't know about. My recycle bin keeps deleted
files until it is emptied and files can be restored if necessary. Is there a
setting for emptying recycle bin when closing ddb?
